Hound - Tanner - Large - Young - Male - Dog
Tanner is around 1 1/2 years old and appears to be a hound/terrier/bull dog type mix. He is a little shy when you first meet him but is very loving and gentle with people. One of the photos is of he and a jrt who was at the shelter at the same time that he was. They were wonderful roommates. He did enter the shelter with lots of bite wounds around his head and neck. Those are clearing up but taking it slowly with introduction to new dogs. He seems to be intimidated and does some growling around bigger dogs but wags his tail. Will update as we know. Tanner is new to our rescue, but these are a few things that we know. He is quiet, gentle, housebreaking, crate training well. He likes to vocalize but ever so quietly. We call it his singing. He tails wags incessantly when he hears a familiar voice. He is up to date, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative but his test did come back with exposure to lyme disease so he is being treated with Doxycycline for that.
